Weaving Workshop With James Davis of Engaged Weaving

135.00

Weaving is a quiet, timeless craft, which is a wonderful self-care practice for our busy times. Come learn the basics of weaving on a frame loom in a small, intimate class. During this four hour workshop, we will all work together to practice various basic weaving techniques, including plain weave, texturing, and geometric shapes. We will also discuss warping and finishing techniques. After the class, you get to take home your loom and an instructional booklet to help you continue your new weaving practice.

Your class fee includes the loom, weaving tools, a booklet, a selection of various colors of Alafoss Lopi yarn and light refreshments.

James Davis is a weaver and handspinner living in Denver, Colorado. He practices fiber art as a moving meditation to explore craft and simple, intentional living. He enjoys teaching collaborative weaving workshops where groups can explore fiber art together. His work has been shown at the Taos Art Museum at Fechin House, Maker General and Slo Curio.
