Handmade One-Of-A-Kind Organic Canvas 'Wildflower' Sun 'n Shade Hat

inspired by nature, always....

one of my favorite things to make and favorite things to wear, hats... both classic & funky all at once, this style is made to resemble a cross somewhere between a lid an old Japanese fisherman from a bygone era meets a 50's Italian Rivera yachtsman would have worn, imagine that!  inspired by the Springtime & jaw dropping gorgeous wildflowers growing in abundance here in the Pacific Northwest, i've hand stitched a scattering of flowers that adorn the crown of the hat as well as the top.  the hat is constructed of double layer of eco linen/cotton canvas which is still light enough to keep your head cool but also allowing you to give it good shape whether you flip up the brim to get a better view or stay incognito under the lid.  finished with a band of leather and colorful antique African glass beads, this is wonderfully unique hat! the edges are left raw and will fray and age beautifully as you travel the land and sea...

dims:

approx. 24" around lower crown (fits an average head size ~ please measure your noggin just around the eyebrow line loosely making sure the tape measure isn't tight. this will ensure that the hat won't be too tight on your head.  my head measures approx. 22.5" around the eyebrow line & this hat fits very comfortably to give you an example)
approx. 4" height of crown
approx. 3" width of brim

*hand wash only by gently dropping & soaking in a sink or tub using shampoo or mild bio-degradable detergent, rinsed & dried naturally in the sun.

**Please note that all of my goods are hand made using mostly recycled, vintage and/or new eco, sustainable, organic materials. I spend many many countless hours putting my focus, intention & love into each & every piece I design starting from hand picking the fabric, washing & drying, designing, drafting & cutting the pattern to sewing, stitching, ironing, hammering and finally hand embossing the logo. As with a lot of vintage or recycled materials, there are inherent markings that some may consider "flaws". I personally find that it's these beautiful little "scars" that give each piece it's own special character, imparting a uniqueness that I could not create with a perfect pristine brand new piece of fabric. I love the perfection of imperfection and I don't discard fabrics, leathers & any other materials due to these "scars". Please keep this perspective in mind if you are thinking of purchasing any of my goods.
